Collective Visions Gallery

Bremerton, WA  98337

Collective Visions Gallery is an artist cooperative gallery in Bremerton at 4th and Pacific.  It is the oldest gallery in the Westsound at twenty-something years.

A dozen or so years ago CVG artists worked with Nancy Rekow and a group of dedicated Westsound poets to initiate Ars Poetica in Kitsap County. That first Ars Poetica was a splendid success; we displayed the art and the poems for the month of April, National Poetry Month, and held a reading to a full gallery.

Each year since then, except for the pandemic, we have held an Ars Poetica show and reading during the month of April, usually working closely with Nancy. This year we will have a special artwork for one of Nancy's poems and we hope she can attend the reading. And we hope everyone on the Westsound who likes poetry and art also attends.

"Front Street Gallery, the youngest member of the West Sound co-op family. According to member Anita Albala, the gallery originated in Kingston as the Kingston Co-Op after its founding artists sought advice from Verksted about how to get started. When the gallery eventually moved to downtown Poulsbo in 2011 under a new name, it received an enthusiastic reception from its Verksted neighbors.
“Every artist works shifts each month to keep the gallery open. In addition, each member is part of a committee. Groups are responsible for displays, facilities, special events, membership, calendar and publicity,” explains gallery manager and member Pamela Dick"

The Bainbridge Island Photo Club (BIPC) was organized as a non-profit in 1999 on Bainbridge Island, WA, in Kitsap County. A few people wanted a place where they could share what they know and don’t know about photography, and thereby improve their skills and enjoyment. They were right. Those who have been around since the early days will claim that the quality of the Club’s photography has improved over the years.

We have two monthly meetings, the second and third Wednesdays of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Bainbridge Island Senior Center (370 Brien SE, Bainbridge Island) , in Huney Hall.

Meetings on the second Wednesday of the month are devoted to either members Sharing Photos or Education Nights. Sharing Nights are held on the odd numbered months and Education Nights are held on the even numbered months of the year.

On the third Wednesday of the month, the meetings will either be what we call Third Wednesday Workshop (TWW) or a Movie Night.

Please see our MEETINGS page for further details and instructions for submitting photos.

Bainbridge Island holds a large annual 4th of July celebration. During this event BIPC holds their annual print exhibit of members’ photos in the Bainbridge Island Senior Center from 10:00 AM to 4:PM. The public is invited to vote on their 5 favorite photos.

Occasionally field trips are arranged for those interested in getting together for photography outings.
